On behalf of everyone who works on cars I'd just like to say fuck you. Also that title sounds like an unpleasant sex thing. That is all.

I'm expecting there to be much wd40, filing the bolt surfaces flat and a large amount of swearing. Luckily the car I'm working on isnt quite as bad as the picture...

WD40 is a crap penetrating oil. Don't do it. PB Blaster is much better; a homebrew of acetone and ATF is also reputed to work well. And take the time to go to Sears and get a proper brakeline wrench...grips way better than a simple open end.

God. I am glad I don't work in the rust belt. I can't remember the last time I saw a caliper like that. If one of my techs showed me that. The customer would be getting a new caliper.

Is that a Nissan caliper?

Older ford atf is the shiz for breaking down rusty things. I am glad to hear others know it.

I actually use an oil I found in a parts store a year or two back, i think its something like pd70 but i call it wd40 because bad memory. Works well enough for most things.
